Professional Writing Speakers Series

These guests, several of whom graduated from the WKU English Department, will visit Dr. Jones’ Editing and Publishing class to answer questions and discuss their careers in professional writing.

All the Editing and Publishing class visits will take place in CH 102, from 3:00–3:40 p.m., and everyone is welcome to join for the class period.

Tues., Feb. 21: Professional Writers from KirkpatrickPrice, Bowling Green,
Kentucky (all alumni of the Professional Writing program): Chaz Lively, Professional Writer; Sarah Slatton, Professional Writer; Skylar Wooden, Professional Writer.

Tues., March 28: Employees of the Tennessee Office of Comptroller of the
Treasury, Nashville, Tennessee (both English Department alumni): Amanda Adams, Assistant Legislative Editor; Amy Brack, Legislative Editor.

Thurs., April 13: Alex Healey (English Department alumnus), Sales & Marketing
Representative, RC Components, Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Thurs., April 20: Steve Vest, Editor and Publisher, Kentucky Monthly magazine,
Frankfort, Kentucky.

Guests are also staying after class for an informal meet-and-greet receptions in CH 105,
3:45–4:30 p.m., and everyone is welcome to drop by, if only for a minute.
